I have to say I’d never had an experience like this before. Yeah, I’d been out dancing in the clubs with friends, but that is an experience that is full of judgment, drama, and tension among other things. The DMT experience let go of all of that. It was so freeing. You got to let go of judgment, drama, and tension - on many levels - emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Letting loose, dancing your fool head off, and shouting to release your aggressions.
The demonstrative experiment of black hole energy VS starlight energy at the beginning was profound. And once we identified the difference, got comfortable with each other and the beat dropped, it was ON! 90 minutes of pure release - energetic bliss!
Thank you for your kind thoughts and words of wisdom, for holding the space and sharing this experience with others - I would more could experience it! And that joyous laugh! Infectious!

Currently, DanceMT is offered at the Loft at 1420 in Downtown Detroit, the last Sunday of each month at 10am.
The roots of this practice go back to my first two teachers, Anand Safi and Gabriel Chin. Gabriel was, by far, the most influential Thai Chi and Chi Gong teacher ever in Michigan. Books could be written on his influence as well as the works of my other teachers like Master of Tibetan Buddhism Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Dr. Aura Glaser and many others including my Rebbe, Jason Gold, who I would consider my guru on Jewishness.
Essentially, DanceMT is a very ancient principle platformed in a completely novel, unique and highly effective way. What I came to realize through some 17 years of study and practice with these and other teachers and students of the healing arts is that there are some basic principles at work in all of them.
This is a basic and simple practice. There is nothing mystical or magical about it. If you keep a dog locked in a cage for a week and then try to let it out and train it it will be all but impossible. There are certain things a dog needs in order to be able to be trained, the primary of which is it’s accumulating physical energy needs to be exhausted regularly. Our mind is the exact same way yet so many people are trying to sit and meditate, or undo certain habit patterns prior to having let their ‘dog out of the cage and into the park.’ Physical tension is only one of the tensions that we experience as human beings. Basic Physical tension can be relieved by pretty much any physical exercise yet emotional and mental tension require a more dynamic practice in order to find relief. As you will see from the testimonials, this practice is particularly potent in delivering physical, mental and emotional relief. In addition to the temporary relief aspects are the by-products of experiencing mental and emotional relief and those by-products are what is commonly known as ‘creativity.’ This practice not only can provide you with the 3 big reliefs it will, if practiced with regularity, bring your creative side to Life and if your creative side is already alive then it will expand it tremendously.
